Kaabil becomes the 2nd movie to touch 100 Crore mark in 2017

Mumbai:  Slow and steady at the box office, movie Kaabil finally managed to touch the 100 crore mark on the Saturday. The Hrithik and Yami starrer love cum revenge drama received a lot of adulation from critics and audience. After earning staggering 67 crore on the first weekend the earnings in the second week dipped but remain steady at an average of 5 crore. Earlier Sharukh Khan’s Raees touched 100 crore mark in the beginning of second week.

It was a touch and go matter, but on Saturday Kaabil finally crossed the 100 crore mark in the domestic market. The gross collection of the movie raised to 118 crores after it earned a handsome 11.8 crores on Sunday. Many controversies related to the official and trade figures have been raised in the past week. However, if the trade analysts are to be believed difference is not that staggering even in case of discrepancy. A 10 percent plus minus calculation also makes Kaabil a clean hit at box-office.( WD)
