Chennai: Thespian Kamal Haasan, who was admitted to a a private hospital in the city for the past three weeks due to a fracture in his leg, was discharged today.He was advised rest for couple of weeks, hospital sources said.
Kamal Haasan was admitted to Apollo hospitals on July 14 after he fell off the stairs at his residence in Alwarpet in the city.He sustained fractures in his leg and underwent surgery for the same.The injury also resulted in the postponement of the shooting of his upcoming trilingual comedy 'Sabash Naidu'.
The second schedule of the film was scheduled to start in July.However, following the injury, it was postponed to next month.Kamal Haasan was directing as well playing the lead role in the film, which was simultaneously being made in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.
Also starring Ramya Krishnan, Shruti Haasan, Brahmanandam and Saurabh Shukla, Sabash Naidu is based on the spin-off of 'Balram Naidu' character from Kamal Haasan’s blockbuster 'Dasavatharam'.(UNI)
