Karan Johar, a 'student of the year' in real life

New Delhi: Noted Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar, who directed the film 'Student of the Year', was the real life 'student of the year' during his school and college days.Not many know that this SOTY director has been a bright student ever since his childhood days but chose to follow his creative side and become a Bollywood filmmaker.

While shooting for a recent episode of 'India’s Next Superstars', Johar, sharing a story of his college days, said, “I am a student from HR college, and I have always been a front bencher since my school days. When I chose to enter Bollywood and explore my creative side, my teachers were very confused about my career choices as none of them expected me to take such a decision.”However, as it turned out, Johar went on to make several memorable films, from 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' to 'Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham' to 'My Name is Khan' and 'Student of the Year'.
