Mumbai:Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who had ordered shutting down of cinema halls in the wake of rising Covid-19 cases on Tuesday, was requested by none other than Director-Producer Karan Johar, to let the theater halls operate with Covid-19 protocols.
Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, the talented Director on Friday said, "We urge the Delhi Government to allow cinemas to operate. Cinemas are equipped with better ability to ensure a hygienic environment while maintaining social distancing norms, as compared to other out-of-home settings."
Mentioning Lt Governor Anil Baijal and Kejriwal, Karan requested them to open well-equipped cinema halls, using the hashtag 'Cinemasaresafe'.(UNI)
