Kartik Aaryan, Janhvi Kapoor to share screen in Karan Johar’s ‘Dostana 2’

New Delhi: Filmmaker Karan Johar has announced the lead cast of his upcoming film ‘Dostana 2’, which will star Kartik Aaryan and Janhvi Kapoor.
Directed by Collin D’Cunha, the movie is written by Navjot Gulati, Sumit Aroraa, Rishabh Sharma and Collin D’Cunha.
A newcomer will join the two actors to complete the rom-com.
Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, Karan made the announcement, saying, “The return of the franchise with unlimited madness! @TheAaryanKartik, #Janhvi & a soon to be launched fresh face - making it the trio for #Dostana2, directed by @CollinDcunha. Watch out for the third suitable boy! @apoorvamehta18 @dharmamovies”.

Kartik said, “Maa Da Laadla Bigadne waala hai DOSTANA Can’t wait to take this franchise forward with my partners in crime- #Janhvi , @collinDcunha & d third suitable boy #Dostana2 @karanjohar @apoorvamehta18 @DharmaMovies”.
Janhvi posted a video on her Instagram account and said, “Omg!!!! Can’t control my excitement about joining the team of #Dostana2 Can’t wait to carry forward this franchise with @kartikaaryan, @collindcunha & the third "suitable boy" @karanjohar @apoorva1972 @dharmamovies”.
Dharma Productions said, “Taking the iconic franchise forward!Presenting #Dostana2, starring @TheAaryanKartik, #Janhvi & a suitable boy, announcing soon! Directed by @collinDcunha.Let the madness roll! @karanjohar @apoorvamehta18”.
Directed by Tarun Mansukhani, ‘Dostana’ featured John Abraham and Abhishek Bachchan as two straight men who pretend to be gay in order to share an apartment with Priyanka Chopra. The original film released on November 14, 2008. (UNI)
