Mumbai: Esteemed Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan, recently opened up on his show "Kaun Banega Crorepati" (KBC) Season 16 about his demanding professional life keeping him away from his kids, Abhishek Bachchan and Shweta Bachchan Nanda.
During an episode earlier this week in Sony Entertainment Television's iconic quiz show, viewers were introduced to Neeraj Giri, a New Delhi-based software engineer. The contestant was excited over the surprises that 2024 had brought into his life, a sanguine news of his wife's pregnancy. During their heartfelt conversation, Neeraj asked Amitabh a poignant question, how the actor and his wife, Jaya Bachchan, managed responsibilities when they became parents to Abhishek and Shweta.
With his trademark wit, Amitabh quipped, "Jaya Ji!" prompting laughter from the spectators. The humour continued as Neeraj jokingly enquired about the challenges of parenting, to which Amitabh replied in the same lighthearted tone, "Jaya Ji did it all".
However the actor soon unveiled a more personal side, admitting, "Jaya has managed everything... I wanted to spend as much time with Abhishek and Shweta, but I couldn't. When I used to leave for work, they used to sleep and when I returned, they were asleep even then.. But now that they are grown up, I make the most out of it".
