Lucknow: Director Madhur Bhandarkar on Sunday met Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and discussed about the proposed film city in Uttar Pradesh.
The Chief Minister on Friday had announced that his government will be set up the country’s biggest and beautiful film city either in Noida, Greater Noida or on the Yamuna Expressway.
Actress Kangana Ranaut, along with BJP MP Ravi Kishan and Manoj Tiwari, have appreciated the CM’s announcement.
According to official sources, Mr Bhandarkar reached the official residence of the CM on Sunday morning where both were closeted for about 45 minutes. In the presence of a couple of officials, the two discussed about the place and other modalities of the venture.
Later, the CM gifted the Bollywood producer with Prasad of the Ram temple of Ayodhya, coin of Lord Ram, Ramcharitra Manas , Tulsi mala and coffee table book on Kumbh.
After his talks with the CM, Mr Bhandarkar told media persons here that he had suggested that the new film city in UP would be similar like Ramoji Rao film city of Hyderabad.
“I have thanked UP CM for his new effort and hoped that it will benefit the Bollywood and the film and TV sector,” he said.
Earlier while announcing the new film city near Noida, CM on Friday last had said his government will made the country’s biggest and beautiful film city either in Noida, Greater Noida or on the Yamuna Expressway.
The CM has asked the concerned officials to select the spot and go ahead with the new film city and make it in a fast track process.
After the announcement of the film city, actor Kangana Ranaut had thanked CM Yogi Adityanath for his move and hoped that this it boost the film industry including Hollywood too which will be attracted towards our country.
BJP MP and Bhojpuri actor Ravi Kishan said that the new film city will boost employment and the young would get opportunity to showcase their talents.
Singer and BJP MP Manoj Tiwari too said that the new film city will boost the development in north India and it will develop the film industry in the region.
Bhajan and ghazal singer Anup Jalota too have appreciated the move of the UP government. (UNI)
