New Delhi: Red Chillies Entertainment Pvt Ltd, makers of Shahrukh Khan starrer 'Zero,' filed a 'caveat' in the Delhi High Court on Thursday, after receiving a Legal Notice, for using 'Gata Kirpaan' in the poster of the movie.
The Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee (DSGPC) served a Legal Notice to RCEPL, for allegedly insulting the Sikh sentiments in the flick.
The Committee alleged that the trailer in the movie depicts Shah Rukh wearing the 'Gatra Kirpaan,' which is sacred to the Sikhs, as an ordinary dagger. Sikh Sangat complained to the DSGMC that this hurt the sentiments of the Sikhs.
Aanand L Rai found himself in choppy waters for offending Sikhs, who alleged that 'displaying of the Kirpan in such a way is blasphemous,' so the scene should be removed immediately from the film.
Advocate Amritpal Singh Khalsa had also filed a petition against actor Shah Rukh and makers of Zero for hurting the sentiments of Sikh Community, which will be heard by the Bombay High Court on Friday. (UNI)
