Malayalam superstar Mammootty tests positive for COVID-19

Kochi: Malayalam superstar Mammootty tested positive for Covid-19 on Sunday.

The actor tweeted that "Despite taking all the necessary precautions I have tested Covid Positive yesterday. Besides a light fever I am otherwise fine. I am self isolating at home as per the directions of the concerned authorities. I wish for all of you to stay safe. Mask at all times and take care."

The actor who turned 70 recently tested positive when he was busy with the shooting of the fifth part of his movie 'CBI-5' directed by K Madhu.

Now, the shooting has been suspended for the next two weeks, sources said. (UNI)
