Manushi picks MBBS degree over Bollywood debut

Mumbai : As the world of Bollywood beckons her after her Miss World triumph, Manushi Chillar on Thursday said completing her MBBS degree was her first priority. Speaking at the CNN news 18 Indian of the year awards, Manushi, when asked whether she would continue with her MBBS education, or head for Bollywood, said ,''I worked very hard for that seat, and I'm not letting go of that so easily. Not even for Bollywood."Asked, in reference to Manushi's answer in the final round of the Miss World, whether she felt that mothers all over the world ever got their due, she said, ''Motherhood anywhere in the world is a one-way relationship.

For instance, no matter what I do, I know I cannot repay my mother for what she's done for me. So it's always going to be a one-way relationship." Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli, who presented an award to Manushi, said it was an honour to give this award to her. "It's my honour to give this award to you," Virat told Manushi."Hope we can keep making the county proud in the future as well,'' he said. (UNI)
