A Lokesh Kanagaraj’s movie starring Vijay and Vijay Sethupati is a decent movie that’ll be liked by everyone if they do not keep their expectations to high.
Vijay holding a strong fanbase is a big reason for the hype that the movie Master is enjoying. Also, after the novel Coronavirus, the movies stopped releasing in the theatres and this movie is the first to make the comeback. People have a lot of expectations from this film and we do not deny its ability to be able to do so, but you won’t be on the edge of your seat either.

The Hindi version of the movie released today on the 14 th of January and we got a treat for us. Vijay’s fans celebrate the release of his films like a festival and when it releases on the day of a festival to become the first film to be released in theatres, people cannot keep their calm.

The story of Master is about a guy JD(Vijay) who is a teacher and is loved by all his students and Bhavani(Vijay Sethupati) who is sent to an observation home after his family was killed by powerful men when he was young. Bhavani grows up to follow the same path and becomes a bad guy who kills people and does bad things.

When JD volunteers to work at the observation home, he learns about Bhavani’s wrong doings for which he is using the kids at the observation home. The success of Master will be mostly because of the fame Vijay enjoys that’ll flourish the collection of the movie, as also said by the director Lokesh Kanagaraj.

Vijay Sethupati appears natural in the film as playing the villain because of his wit and casual presence on the screen. The movie also takes a blow because of its runtime that is 3 hours long. Movies this long are a thing of the ancient past and after a point of time, it comes upon as
a burden.

The storyline not being that impactful, a solid screenplay saves the game. In all,the movie is enjoyable and a fun one-time-watch losing points mainly for its runtime.(WD)
