Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, is stepping back into the spotlight with her upcoming Netflix series, "With Love, Meghan", which is set to debut on January 15.
Meghan shared the official trailer on January 2 via her freshly launched Instagram handle, @meghan, marking a comeback. Featuring a special cameo by Prince Harry, the series offers an intimate glimpse into Meghan's world.
The series contains eight episodes promising a mix of practical tips, personal moments and candid conversations with close friends and family.
The heartwarming trailer, set to the classic tune "Do You Believe in Magic" by The Lovin' Spoonful, teases glimpses of Meghan, 43, immersed in various activities like cooking, gardening, beekeeping and arranging flowers, while also spending time with friends Mindy Kaling, Abigail Spencer and Delfina Blaquier.
Notably, the trailer features a cameo by Meghan's husband Prince Harry, where the couple shares a champagne toast and a warm embrace on a sunny patio.
Filmed in Montecito, California, where the Duke and Duchess reside with their children, Prince Archie, 5, and Princess Lilibet, 3. the trailer unveils Markle as the narrator. She is also the executive producer.
"I've always loved taking something pretty ordinary and elevating it," the Duchess of Sussex says in a voiceover in the trailer. "Surprising people with moments that let them know I was really thinking of them".
In a release shared with PEOPLE, Netflix described the series as "inspiring", which "reimagines the genre of lifestyle programming, blending practical how-to’s and candid conversation with friends, new and old".
"Meghan shares personal tips and tricks, embracing playfulness over perfection and highlights how easy it can be to create beauty, even in the unexpected. She and her guests roll up their sleeves in the kitchen, the garden, and beyond, and invite you to do the same," it said.
The series marks the fifth project from Archewell Productions, the creative venture Meghan and Harry established after stepping back from their royal roles in 2020.
The couple's multiyear partnership with Netflix, reportedly valued at $100 million, has already yielded successful releases, including Harry & Meghan, "Live To Lead", "Heart of Invictus" and "Polo".
For Meghan, the series is a full-circle moment, echoing her earlier work on her lifestyle blog "The Tig", which she closed in 2017 before marrying Prince Harry.
Ahead of the premiere, Meghan took to Instagram to share her excitement, "I have been so excited to share this with you! I hope you love the show as much as I loved making it. Wishing you all a fantastic new year! Thanks to our amazing crew and the team @netflix. Beyond grateful for the support - and fun! As ever, Meghan" (UNI)
