Kolhapur/Satara: In a shocking incident, a man from Pune attempted to financially deceive Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan by saying "Mi Udayanraje Bhosale Boltoy" (this is Udayanraje Bhosale speaking), claiming to be the BJP Lok Sabha MP from Satara.

Shahupuri police of Satara city booked a man in Pune for the fraud calls.

According to Shahupuri Satara police, a man who identified as Aamanat Sheikh (31) of Pune, was directly calling for the last few months by saying 'Mi Udayanraje Bhosale Boltoy' and told Aamir Khan that he has organised a marathon race and will hold a charity show for it. The suspect also phoned Aamir Khan's personal assistant to give funds for institutions.

However, to confirm, Aamir Khan wrote a letter to MP Bhosale and asked whether he has organized any marathon race. When the MP replied in the negative, Aamir booked a complaint at the Shahupuri police station of the city. While investigating, the police traced the calls to the suspected man from Pune.

A Police team left for Pune to detain the suspect Sheikh.
