'Mohenjo Daro’ grosses Rs 95 cr worldwide in its opening week

New Delhi: It may have met with a lukewarm response at the domestic box office, Ashutosh Gowarikar’s period romance ‘Mohenjo Daro’ has performed well at the overseas box office, resulting in the Hrithik Roshan-starrer grossing Rs 95 crore worldwide in its opening week, trade sources said.

In its opening week, Mohenjo Daro grossed Rs 71.08 crore in the Indian market and 3.6 million US dollars (Rs 24.3 crore) at the overseas box office.The film thus has collections of 95.38 crore at the box office worldwide.

In the Gulf countries, the film collected 1.2 million US dollars, which is the third highest opening week collection for Hrithik Roshan ever in the region.In North America, the estimated collections are above 9,85,000 US dollars with 56 screens yet to report for Thursday.

In the United Kingdom, the film earned 4,16,000 Us dollars while in Australia it collected 1,18,000 US dollars.The first week collection in Pakistan is estimated around 3,25,000 US dollars making it the second highest opening week collections for a Hrithik Roshan film in Pakistan.Directed by Gowarikar, the movie also stars Pooja Hegde and Kabir Bedi in key roles.
