Naga Chaitanya to lead Hyderabad Blackbirds in Indian Racing Festival

New Delhi: Renowned actor and Motorsport enthusiast Akkineni Naga Chaitanya is set to make his mark in the Indian Racing Festival (IRF) as the new team owner of Hyderabad Blackbirds, the franchise announced.
 
The festival, which features the Indian Racing League (IRL) and FIA-certified Formula 4 Indian Championship (F4IC), will kick off on August 24.
 
Naga Chaitanya, known for his passion for Formula 1 and a collection of super cars and motorcycles, brings a unique mix of celebrity influence and racing fervour to the team. His involvement is expected to significantly boost the profile of the festival, drawing new audiences and adding star power to the event.
 
"I've been a motorsports enthusiast from a very early age, with a deep love for everything from the high-speed drama of Formula 1 to the thrill of driving supercars and bikes. Leading the Hyderabad Blackbirds amid a stacked line-up this season is an experience I am looking forward to with much anticipation. I'm eager to extend this unforgettable experience to the fans, take Indian motorsports to new heights, and inspire the next generation of racing talent," said Naga Chaitanya.
 
The Hyderabad Blackbirds will compete against teams from Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Goa, and Kolkata in the world’s first gender-neutral, franchise-based racing competition.
