Noted film actor, comedian Shivaji passes away

Chennai:  Noted actor RS Shivaji, who is known for his comical roles in Tamil films, passed away on Saturday after a brief illness.

Shivaji regularly acted in films involving Kamal Haasan and his production house Raaj Kamal Films International.

His performance as a police constable in Kamal starrer "Aboorva Sagodharargal" along with another comedian Janagaraj, and his witty dialogues became a huge hit and was still fresh in the minds of the film afficiandos.

Having started his acting career in 1981 with the film "Paneer Pushpanjali", he has acted in many films including "Kalaignan","Chinna Vathiyar", "Vietnam Colony", "Michael Madana Kamarajan","Mounam Sammadham", "Magalir Mattum", "Pavithra", "Anbae
Sivam", "Jayam Kondan", among others.He has also acted in supporting roles in some films.
The Tamil film industry condoled his death.(UNI)
