She came, she danced and won the hearts of the judges aka ENT (Entertainment, Newness and Technique) specialists – Malaika Arora, Terence Lewis and Geeta Kapur! Owning the Bollywood, freestyle and open style technique, Odisha’s Roza Rana, also popularly known as ‘Unstoppable Force’ is one of the Best 5 finalists to have earned an entry into the ‘Ultimate Finale’ of Sony Entertainment Television’s most loved dance reality show, India’s Best Dancer 2. With ace choreographer Sanam Johar on her side, Roza has surely had a fulfilling journey on the show. In a candid conversation, here is Roza talking about her journey so far and the preparations she is undertaking for the Ultimate Finale!

You’re one of the Best 5 finalists on India’s Best Dancer Season 2, elaborate on your journey so far and how are you preparing for the finale?

My excitement knows no bounds! I never imagined being one of the Best 5 finalists in a prestigious show like India’s Best Dancer 2! It is definitely a feat that wouldn't have been achievable without the help of my parents and my choreographer - Sanam Johar. Also, goes without saying but I owe a debt of gratitude to Malaika ma’am, Geeta ma, and Terence sir for helping me in my growth as a dancer and making me reach here.

Tell us about your technique and how did you incorporate the same in each of your performance.

I love to experiment with all kinds of dance styles and techniques. From hip-hop to contemporary free style, Sanam and I have tried to explore different techniques every week as we like to keep challenging ourselves.

Many eminent personalities from the entertainment industry graced the show, can you tell us some of the best moments you experienced with them?

India’s Best Dancer has really given us ample of golden opportunities to not only interact but also perform in front of eminent personalities! However, my most favorite memory would be when Vani Kapoor came on the show. We reminisced about the good old days when we worked together on the song ‘Ghungaroo’ and also shook a leg of the show. At time, I felt that life truly comes a full circle. Sharing the stage with Vani was definitely one of the biggest highlights for me this season.

What do you want to say about your choreographer Sanam Johar?

I'd want to express my gratitude to Sanam for being such a dedicated choreographer and partner. Every time we performed together, he has backed me up and assisted me in improving my performance. He is not only my choreographer, but also a great friend who has supported me throughout my journey on India’s Best Dancer 2. He surely will get majority of the credit if I win. Really can’t thank him enough for everything.

Which has been your best performance till date?

I think the audience is the best judge of that however, if I have to pick one, it’d be the Rakht Bheej act on the song Rakht Charitra that we did last week. That really required me to push my boundaries as a performer and I think the outcome also came out to be quite powerful. So, yes it will be one of my most favorite performances ever.

Any message for your fans?

I am much thankful for the love and support that they have given me. Truly overwhelmed by the gestures of the fans on social media pages. Here’s hoping they keep supporting me till the end.

Be sure to tune in to the, ‘Ultimate Finale’ on India's Best Dancer 2 on 9th January, 2022 at 8.00 PM only on Sony Entertainment Television
