Patna Shukla: Raveena Tandon's next is based on roll number scam

New Delhi: Disney+ Hotstar is set to premiere a compelling new film, “Patna Shukla,” on March 29, 2024.

Produced by Arbaaz Khan Productions Pvt. Ltd. And directed by Vivek Budakoti, this film delves into the story of Tanvi Shukla, a small-time lawyer and homemaker thrust into the battle for justice against a roll number scam affecting countless students.

The narrative follows Tanvi Shukla, played by the versatile Raveena Tandon, as she takes on the challenge of fighting for the truth amidst the pressures of motherhood and professional life.

Alongside her, a talented ensemble cast, including Anushka Kaushik, Manav Vij, Chandan Roy Sanyal, Jatin Goswami, and the late Satish Kaushik, brings this courtroom drama to life.

Gaurav Banerjee, Head of Content for Disney+ Hotstar & HSM Entertainment Network, highlighted the film’s relatability to many Indians, stating, “Patna Shukla is a slice of life film that sees a common woman fighting all odds to prevail and reveal the truth behind the roll number scam.”

Arbaaz Khan, the producer, expressed his pride in bringing this unique tale to audiences, emphasising the courage and resilience of the protagonist, Patna Shukla.

Director Vivek Budakoti shared his personal connection to the story, rooted in the backdrop of the Roll Number Scam.

Raveena Tandon, portraying Tanvi Shukla, remarked on the character’s relatability to Indian women juggling various roles. She invites audiences to witness the journey of Patna Shukla’s quest for justice, promising an impactful and heartfelt experience.
