Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the latest personality who hailed Vivek Agnihotri's hotly-debated movie 'The Kashmir Files. PM Modi said that such films "reveal the truth" and claimed that there has been a "conspiracy" to discredit it.
Speaking at the BJP parliamentary party meeting in Delhi, while referring to film The Kashmir Files Modi said, “The entire Jamaat (gang) that who carry the 'freedom of expression' flag are restless over the last 5-6 days. And instead of reviewing the film on facts and as an art, campaign being run to discredit it."
“Someone took the courage to bring out the truth, he decided to portray it on screen what he considered to be true. But they are neither ready to understand and accept the truth. Also campaign being run so that people do not see it. A conspiracy is being hatched for the past 5-6 days. My concern is not the film, but to bring the truth out in the right way is for the benefit of the nation,” Modi concluded.
Written and directed by Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, the exodus drama features a stellar cast of actors including Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher, Darshan Kumaar, Pallavi Joshi and Chinmay Mandlekar.
Produced by Zee Studios and Tej Narayan Agarwal, Abhishek Agarwal, Pallavi Joshi and Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, ‘The Kashmir Files’ released in theatres on 11th March, 2022.
