New Delhi: Prime Video India has released the trailer for the upcoming film 'Ae Watan Mere Watan', starring Sara Ali Khan in the lead role on Monday.
The nearly three-minute-long trailer, shared on the streaming platform's YouTube channel, gives a glimpse into the patriotic thriller set against the backdrop of India's 1942 Quit India Movement.
The film follows the story of 22-year-old Usha, played by Sara Ali Khan, a college girl in Bombay, who embarks on a mission to help India gain its freedom.
Usha forms an underground radio station, which becomes a pivotal force driving the Quit India Movement forward.
The trailer showcases Usha's bravery, sacrifices, and resourcefulness, highlighting the spirit of India's youth during its fight for independence.
Directed by Kannan Iyer, 'Ae Watan Mere Watan' also stars Sachin Khedekar, Abhay Verma, Sparsh Shrivastav, Alexx O' Nell, and Anand Tiwari, with a special guest appearance by Emraan Hashmi.
The film, produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra under Dharmatic Entertainment, is inspired by real events and captures a pivotal chapter in India's quest for independence.
The movie is set to premiere exclusively on Prime Video in India and across more than 240 countries and territories worldwide on March 21.
It will be available in Hindi with dubs in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada, offering a broader audience the opportunity to experience this tale of courage and patriotism.
