Mumbai: After enthralling cinegoers with the 'Whodunnit', 'Talvar ', based on the Arushi Talvar murder case, Meghna Gulzaar is ready to engross audiences with 'Raazi ', a period film about a Kashmiri spy married to a Pakistani man during the India-Pakistan War of 1971.The filmmaker on Tuesday released the teaser of 'Raazi', a film produced under the banner of Karan Johar. The trailer features Alia as the Kashmiri spy Sehmat and Vicky Kaushal as her Pakistani husband.
The trailer of the film keeps one hooked with the story of Sehmat for whom the duty of her motherland lies above her role as a wife. The film is an adaptation of Harinder Sikka’s novel Calling Sehmat, about a Kashmiri spy married to a Pakistani man during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971.The film, scheduled for release on May 11, 2018, has been jointly produced by Produced by Vineet Jain of times along with Karan Johar.Besides Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal, the film also features Amruta Khanvilkar and Soni Razdan in key roles.
