Rahman congratulates 'Ok Jaanu' team on 'humma' crossing 50 million views

New Delhi: Over two decades ago, music maestro and Oscar winner A R Rahman had enthralled music lovers with memorable song 'Humma Humma' in Mani Rathnam's movie 'Bombay'. Now, the magic of the 'Humma' song in director Karan Johar's 'Ok Jaanu', is recreated by rapper Badshah and Tansihk Bagchi with vocals by Jubin Nautiyal and Shashaa Tirupati.Rahman, who was ecstatic over the new form of song crossing 50 million views, has congratulated 'Ok Jaanu' team.

'Congrats Mehboob #badshah @tanishkbagchi @sashasublime @JubinNautiyal on #humma crossing 50 million views,' Rahman said in a tweet.He congratulated Karan for giving #humma back to the younger generation.'Congrats @karanjohar @shaadesh for the idea to give #humma back to the younger generation,' Rahman said.

 
The 'Humma Humma' song from 'Ok Jaanu', starring Aditya Roy Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor, is recreated from 'Hamma Hamma', Rahman's composition for 'Bombay' (1995). Rapper Badshah also penned his own rap lyrics and added something new to the song while Aditya and Shraddha's sensuous chemistry and dance takes the song video to another level.
