Rajini turns 69, leaders, actors extend greetings, fans rejoice as 'Petta' teaser released

Chennai: Tamil Superstar Rajinikanth on Wednesday turned 69.It might be a low key celebration for his fans, but they were not complaining as they have enough reasons to rejoice as the teaser of actor's upcoming film 'Petta' was released in the social media and as expected it went viral immediately.

Leaders of various political parties, including DMK Chief M K Stalin, BJP Tamil Nadu unit President Ms Tamilisai Soundararajan, senior BJP leader and Union Minister Pon Radhakrishnan and film personalities, including his good friend Kamal Haasan, Amitabh Bachchan and Akshay Kumar greeted Rajinikanth on the occasion.

Amitabh tweeted ''Happy birthday Rajni .. Dec 12 th .. friend, colleague and a sensation ever !!''. He also posted a few photos taken with Rajini on his twitter page.Actor-turned-politician Kamal Hassan also took to his twitter handle to greet Rajini on the occasion.

In his greetings, the Makkal Neethi Maiyam Founder said ''birthday greetings to my friend of several years and co-student Superstar''. ''Let our friendship and the victories continue'', Kamal said.In his greetings, Mr Stalin tweeted '''Hearty wishes to Superstar of cinema and
