Mumbai: After winning accolades for his performances in films like ‘Shahid’, ‘Citylights’ and ‘Aligarh;, actor Rajkumar Rao will be seen in Vikramaditya Motwane’s forthcoming film ‘Newton’ opposite National award winner Geetaanjali Thapa. In ‘Newton, which is being directed by Vikramaditya Motwane, Rajkumar Rao will be seen romancing Geetanjali Thapa, who has earlier won Nation awards for her performance in films like ‘Tina Ki Chaabi’ and ‘Liar’s Dice’.
Geetanjali made her debut with ‘Tina Ki Chaabi’ which won the actor the National Film Award for Best Actress and many others, such as Best Performance for the Los Angeles Film Festival 2013, Best Actress for the 61st National Film Award, Best Actress for the 14th Annual New York Indian Film Festival.
This is the first time that the two actors, both national award winners, are being paired together.
Rajkumar had won the national award for his film ‘Shahid’ in 2014, the same year when Geetanjali won it for her film, Liar’s Dice.‘Newton’, which will feature, Rajkumar Rao in a new and different avatar, will go on floors soon. (UNI)
