New Delhi: Disney+ Hotstar, in collaboration with Graphic India, is set to captivate audiences with "Baahubali: Crown of Blood," a prequel to the iconic film franchise. This Hotstar Specials series delves into the untold stories of the Baahubali universe, focusing on the formidable alliance between Baahubali and Bhallaladeva as they defend Mahishmati against its greatest threat yet, the enigmatic warlord Raktadeva.

Produced by S.S. Rajamouli, Sharad Devarajan, and Shobu Yarlagadda and directed by Jeevan J. Kang and Navin John, "Baahubali: Crown of Blood" promises to expand the rich tapestry of the Baahubali saga. Rajesh Khattar, who portrays the series' new antagonist, Raktadeva, shares insights into his character, adding depth and complexity to the narrative.

Khattar describes Raktadeva as a character that will bring a fresh element of intrigue and conflict to the beloved Baahubali world. "I think Raktadeva is going to bring in a new element of intrigue and conflict to the world of Baahubali, which is already a huge hit amongst viewers, as people don’t know anything about him, so that will be an addition," Khattar reveals. He emphasises that Raktadeva, while a negative force, is as humane as any other character in the series, with motives rooted in a complex past rather than mere malevolence.
