Ranbir in and as 'Raj Kapoor' in biopic

New Delhi: Bollywood heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor could soon be seen in the role of his grandfather Raj Kapoor in a forthcoming biopic on the life of the Bollywood showman, sources said.

The sources said that Ranbir will play Raj Kapoor in a biopic on the late Bollywood actor, being planned by Randhir Kapoor along with his brother Rishi Kapoor.Though there is no official announcement of the film, a dream project of the Kapoor brothers, sources said that both Randhir Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor have zeroed in on Ranbir for the role of Raj Kapoor.

The Kapoor brothers felt that Ranbir, being a member of the family knows it from inside out and hence would be able to do justice to the role.Ranbir has admitted in many of his interviews that he has been an ardent fan of his grandfather Raj Kapoor.In fact, he has been often seen dancing to Raj Kapoor’s songs.(UNI)
