Ranveer appeals youth to avoid being 'Befikre' while driving

Thane: Bollywood heart-throb Ranveer Singh today gave a clear cut message to the citizens to practice what you preach.The occasion was the launch of the Road Safety Campaign by Thane RTO here.At the flagging off of the bike rally from the Thane RTO, Ranveer, along with Thane Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh, noticed one of the pillion riders in the rally without the helmet.

The actor without any hesitation walked to the man without helmet and made him get down from the bike and said he cannot participate in the rally without the helmet.This act of the popular actor gave a clear cut message to thousands of youths and the officials as well that such lapses should not not be tolerated. Earlier, addressing the gathering of youths, he urged them to follow the traffic rules strictly in the interest of their lives.

He gave several examples of carelessness and the losses of lives and received repeated applause from the audience mostly youths who also later scrambled to take selfies with the actor.
The officials also took chance and took selfies with the actor.

Later, talking to newsmen, the actor stressed the need of strict road discipline which will reduce the number of accidents and resultant deaths and pointed out that the death of youths were maximum. He also urged the youths not to use mobile phones while driving. (UNI)
