The upcoming action spectacle Dhurandhar: The Revenge, starring Ranveer Singh, has made a powerful start at the box office even before its theatrical release, registering impressive numbers in advance bookings soon after its trailer launch.

Advance ticket sales for the spy-thriller sequel opened on Friday at 11:01 am alongside the trailer release, and the film quickly witnessed strong audience response. Within hours, more than 1.4 lakh tickets were sold, pushing advance collections close to Rs 10 crore, reflecting the strong buzz around the film.

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film has already sold 1,42,748 tickets for its premiere day across 6,684 shows nationwide, taking the total advance booking collection to around Rs 8.83 crore.

The Hindi (2D) version has contributed the most to the total, generating Rs 8.69 crore from 1,35,998 tickets, with an average ticket price of Rs 434 across 6,457 shows.

The film’s regional versions have also added to the tally. The Tamil (2D) version has collected about Rs 6.18 lakh from 4,258 tickets, while the Telugu (2D) version has earned around Rs 5.98 lakh from 2,276 tickets. The Malayalam (2D) version has brought in Rs 42,419 from 136 tickets, and the Kannada (2D) version has generated Rs 28,100 from 80 tickets.

Unlike the first instalment, Dhurandhar: The Revenge will release in multiple languages — Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada — expanding its reach across several regional markets. If blocked seats are also taken into account, the film is estimated to open with nearly Rs 13.25 crore on day one, with advance numbers expected to grow further in the days leading up to release.

The film is scheduled for a nationwide release on March 19, with paid preview shows planned for March 18.

Directed and written by Aditya Dhar, the highly anticipated sequel has generated significant online buzz following the trailer’s release. The film also features an ensemble cast including Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun and Rakesh Bedi in key roles.
