Mumbai: After five beautiful short films about romance covering love stories in schools to coffee shops, featuring a blind couple to a senior citizen couple, the last Yashraj short film, under its series ‘Love Shots’ features Rhea Chakarborty, Saba Azad and Mohit Marwah in key roles.
‘The Big Date’, the last short film by Y-Films, Yash Raj Films’ youth wing, under its short film anthology ‘Love Shots’, film is inspired by a true story in the US.Directed by Ankur Tewari, the short film tells the story of a young talkative teenager and her autistic sister who’s speech impaired as last minute preparations for a date with the college heartthrob are in progress.
A heartwarming tale that involved a lot of preparation and research on the part of the actors, writers and director so that they get the portrayal right.The short film also features a beautiful love song as part of the original soundtrack composed & performed by Superbia sung by Shaan and Arpita Mukherjee.On featuring in the short film, Rhea said,’’It was a very unique and thrilling experience working on this.

It features a coming together of actors, including Nimrat Kaur, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Salim Merchant, Tillotama Shome, Saqib Saleem, Shweta Tripathi, Farida Jalal, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Rhea Chakraborty, Saba Azad & Mohit Marwah, Swanand Kirkire, Shubham Tukaram, Shravani Desai among others.
