Mumbai: Late actor Rishi Kapoor's last movie 'Sharmaji Namkeen' will release on March 31, the makers announced.

'Sharmaji Namkeen' is the first film where two actors -- Rishi Kapoor and Paresh Rawal -- will be seen playing one character. That is because, the legendary romantic hero of Bollywood passed away on April 30, 2020, after battling cancer for two years. Veteran actor Paresh Rawal filled in for him.

Taking to Twitter, the 'Phir Hera Pheri' actor shared the poster and wrote, "Jab Zindagi khatti Meethi si ho jaye, toh usse thoda namkeen banana padta hai. #SharmajiNamkeenOnPrime, World Premiere, March 31 on Prime video."

In the movie, Rishi/Paresh will play the role of a retired man who discovers his passion for cooking after joining a riotous women's kitty circle.

Taking to Instagram, producer Farhan Akhtar shared the poster with the caption, "Aa rahe hai Sharmaji, humare life mein lagane tadka," along with star emojis.
