Rohit Shetty, Ajay Devgn to collaborate for 'Golmaal 5'

Mumbai: Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn on Saturday announced that filmmaker Rohit Shetty is all set to bring the fifth instalment in the 'Golmaal' series - 'Golmaal 5'.
Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, Ajay said,''A film franchise which is not only the longest running one in hindi cinema but also happens to be one of my favourites! Prepare yourself for yet another laugh riot with #GolmaalFive. #RohitShetty @Shibasishsarkar @RelianceEnt @RSPicturez''.
 
Reliance Entertainment said,''#RohitShetty and @ajaydevgn are back with the 5th installment of our blockbuster Golmaal franchise, GOLMAAL FIVE!With this installment, Golmaal will become the first Bollywood franchise to have a run of five films #GolmaalFIVE.''
 
'Golmaal' is a series of comedy films directed by Rohit Shetty and produced first by Dhillin Mehta and later by Shetty and Sangeeta Ahir. All the four films starred Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Shreyas Talpade and Tusshar Kapoor, with Kareena Kapoor and Kunal Khemu appearing in two of the four films. 
 
The first film 'Golmaal: Fun Unlimited' was released in 2006, the second film 'Golmaal Returns' was released in 2008. The third movie 'Golmaal 3' was released in 2010 and became the second-highest-grossing Bollywood film of that year. The fourth instalment of this 'Golmaal Again' released in 2017.
 
'Golmaal' is now the sixth-highest-grossing film series in Bollywood. The film series has been described as a screwball comedy franchise. (UNI)
