Mumbai: SS Rajamouli's much-anticipated "RRR" is ready to hit threatres if Covid surge ends and full capacity is allowed at movie halls.
"If the pandemic situation in the country gets better and all theaters open up to operate at full capacity. We are ready to release the film on 18th March, the maker announced on Friday.
Nothing could have made the fans happier. However, the makers added, "Otherwise RRR movie will release on 28th April, 2022."
The makers took to Twitter to issue the statement mentioning the two probable release dates. The Ram Charan-Jr NTR film, also starring Alia Bhatt in a multi-lingual with this cast for the first time, has been a much-awaited one as its release was earlier also rescheduled due to the pandaemic.
Holi is on March 18, and if the makers are able to advance the mega release, RRR will be heading for a clash with Akshay Kumar's "Bachchan Pandey".
RRR is a fictional tale of Indian revolutionaries set in the 1920s. (UNI)
