One of the suspects allegedly involved in shooting outside actor Salman Khan’s residence in Mumbai was identified as shooter Rahul Vishal alias Kalu.

Who is shooter Kalu?

Rahul Vishal allegedly works for gangster Rohit Godara, a gangster from Rajasthan who runs the Bishnoi’s Gang in Rajasthan.

On March 2, Vishal along with his two associates, reportedly killed a Gurgaon-based bookie Sachin in Rohtak. After the incident, Godara took responsibility for the murder.

A school dropout, Vishal is a native of Mahavir Pura in Gurgaon. “After leaving school, he started working as a labourer and also became friends with some local criminals,” an official said, citing the criminal dossier of Vishal.

“On November 9, 2020, he allegedly stole a motorbike from Gurgaon, but he was caught by the patrolling staff of Delhi Police in North Delhi’s Maurice Nagar during vehicle checking. He was arrested and sent to Tihar jail,” the official added.

As per his criminal dossier, after the first case of theft, three cases of robbery, snatching, and arms were registered against him in 2023 at the Bawana police station. “In Tihar jail, he met some of the associates of Godara and decided to join their gang”.

What's the update in the gunfire case?

Meanwhile, CCTV footage of two bike-borne men firing gunshots outside Salman Khan’s house has surfaced. Gunshots were fired outside the actor’s Galaxy Apartment in Bandra on Sunday at around 4:55 am.

The police also recovered a motorbike suspected to have been used in the attack just over a kilometre from the actor's home.

Heavy police force was deployed outside the actor’s residence, Galaxy Apartment, following the incident. The incident was reported at the Bandra Police Station and an FIR was filed.

Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi's brother Anmol Bishnoi has allegedly taken responsibility for the firing outside Bollywood actor Salman Khan's residence in Bandra on Sunday.

A purported social media post by Anmol - who is also accused in the murder of Punjabi singer-turned-politician Sidhu Moosewala - called the firing only a "trailer" while issuing a warning to the actor.
