Mumbai:Actress Deepika Padukone has arrived at the office of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in Mumbai, for questioning in the drugs case.The NCB grilled Deepika's manager Karishma Prakash and actress Rakul Preet Singh in connection with the case on Friday. Sara Ali Khan and Shraddha Kapoor are also slated to record statements at NCB office on Saturday.Dharma Productions' executive producer Kshitij Ravi was also questioned yesterday.The NCB has asked Karishma Prakash to appear before it again on Saturday, when it would also be recording Deepika's statement, an official said. Prakash was questioned for about seven hours.
The NCB, which began the inquiry after a drugs angle came to light in connection with Sushant Singh Rajput's alleged suicide, has now widened its investigation and asked a clutch of Bollywood celebrities to "join the probe". NCB sources said some WhatsApp conversations purportedly discussing drugs are on the radar of the agency. Some of these chats were purportedly between Deepika's manager Karishma and one "D", they said.Sushant was found dead in his apartment in suburban Bandra on June 14. (UNI)
