After four long years, Bollywood's Badshah will finally return to the silver screen to woo a million hearts, who have been waiting impatiently to see SRK romance in his quintessential style and beat the heat out of his adversary while inviting all the sympathy for every blow he encounters.
The release date for "Pathaan" is finally out. On Wednesday, Shah Rukh Khan took to Instagram to share a teaser for the much anticipated film that will star Shah Rukh, John Abraham and Deepika Padukone.
Then the grey silhouette of SRK in his shoulder-length hair and celebratory swag came up requesting the fans to wait "just a little longer".
The trailer showed a chopper flying by as John turned around to deliver a dialogue very much in sync with our times, knitted in "caste and religion" overtones.
Deepika in a green top introduced Pathan's character, saying he had "no names".
As of now, "Pathaan" is one of the most highly awaited Bollywood films in development amid the pandemic that has hit the box office hard.
SRK in a first 'filmy' announcement in a very very long time said: "I know it's late… But remember the date… Pathaan time starts now…See you in cinemas on 25th January, 2023. Releasing in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. Celebrate #Pathaan with #YRF50 only at a big screen near you.”
There were close to 46 lakh views in just four hours. Ranveer Singh saluted SRK with the comment: "Return of the King" (with a crown emoji).
"The Internet is going to blow up today," one user said. "Can't express my feelings in words. Finally the King is back..." said another.
SRK's last release was "Zero" on December 21, 2018, opposite Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif.
Deepika also posted on Instagram: "Pathan is here", while John used the clap board emoji to introduce the trailer. (UNI)
