New Delhi: Shah Rukh Khan isn’t called ‘The King of Bollywood’ for no reason. The superstar known for his portrayals of primarily romantic heroes, has multitudes of fans across the world. One such fan in Egypt came to the rescue of an Indian professor by helping her in her hour of need.
Ashwini Deshpande, a professor of economics at Ashoka University, got a pleasant surprise when she was having trouble transferring money to a travel agent in Egypt. The travel agent told her he would do it for her because she belongs to the land of SRK. “I trust you. I will make the booking, you pay me later. For anywhere else, I wouldn't do this. But anything for SRK,” the Egyptian told the professor.
Deshpande in a tweet recounted:
“Needed to transfer money to a travel agent in Egypt. Was having problems with the transfer. He said: you are from the country of @iamsrk. I trust you. I will make the booking, you pay me later. For anywhere else, I wouldn't do this. But anything for @iamsrk. & he did! #SRK is King.”
