Haldwani: A first short film of Theatre artist Shoorveer Tyagi 'Jaadoo The Magic' will be featured at the International Children's Film festival.
The festival is being held online between October 23 and 26 in the city of Odesa in Ukraine.In addition, the film will be displayed at KIDS FIRST! Film Festival scheduled to be held in Santa Fe city of New Mexico in USA from 29 to 31 October.
Writer, Producer and Director of the film, Shoorveer Tyagi, told UNI that through his first film as director, he had commented on the Indian Education system.
A 38 minutes duration film is the story of two school girls who runs away from school and expect something magic to happen in their lives. In the meantime they meet an unknown person who changed the direction of their thinking.
The film, produced under the banner of red thin line productions, has been shot in a village Vanita Pada in Thane near Mumbai. Two childrens Archali killekar along with Chandni Valvi natives of nearby area has played a major role in this Film.
Mr. Tyagi, a resident of Dehradun in Uttarakhand, who started his theatre acting career with a local theatre Drishti Naatya Sanstha, said that without a pact with quality, the entire film was shot with a red dragon camera in six days and live music has also been given in the film.
He openly speaks about the cost of film production and does not hesitate to say that eminent cinematographer Krishnna S banjan, Music director Ved Nair and Editor Sankalp Meshram, made his contributions to the film production without taking any remuneration.
Recently, the film had received Award of Excellence in an International Film Festival Best Shorts Competition in La Jolla California and Award of Recognition in the best actress category.
In addition, in the Asian Cinematography Award held in Manila Philippines, film bagged the award of Best Asian short film and Best Cinematography of an Asian short film.(UNI)
