Chennai: Actress Shruti Haasan, daughter of actor Kamal Haasan, has lodged a petition with the Cyber Crime wing of the Chennai city police alleging harassment by a doctor based in Karnataka on her twitter handle. In her complaint, she said that he had used abusive language and also issued threats to her life. The complaint was lodged at Cyber Crime grievance cell at the City Police Commissioner’s Office through her agent Praveen Antony.
Shruti sought action against the cyber stalker who sent her abusive and derogatory messages via Twitter to her personal Twitter handle @Shrutihaasan. The accused, who was identified by the complainant as Dr K G Guruprasad, has been sending such messages to her Twitter handle since September 7 this year. The stalker made wild accusations about her character and commented on her personal life, she said in the complaint. (UNI)
