Bhopal: Television actor Shweta Tiwari has landed in legal trouble following a controversial statement in Bhopal during a promotional event for her upcoming series.
During a press conference on Wednesday she said, “"Meri bra ka size bhagwaan le rahe hain" (roughly translated it means God is measuring the size of my innerwear).
The video went viral and Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra expressed his outrage over the Bigg Boss Season 4 winner's comment.
Mishra issued a video on Twitter on Thursday and said: "The statement given by actress Shweta Tiwari in Bhopal is condemnable. Bhopal Police Commissioner Makrand Deuskar has been directed to examine the facts and context and submit a report within 24 hours, on the basis of which a decision will be taken."
The popular TV star started the controversy during the promotion of her upcoming web series, which also stars Sourabh Raaj Jain and Rohit Roy.
At the launch event, Shweta invoked 'bhagwaan', and it has not gone down well with many.
The web series is based on the fashion world and Sourabh Raaj, who is a well-known Lord Krishna face in many serials, including "Mahabharat" is her co-star
Mishra has earlier also taken measures against Sunny Leone's "Madhuban" song. (UNI)
