Mumbai: Social media sensation and actress Uorfi Javed has revealed that she will not be attending the 78th Cannes Film Festival due to visa rejection, which has left both her and her team disheartened.
Uorfi Javed's admirers were eagerly waiting for her to surprise everyone with her explosive entry at the Cannes Film Festival this year.
However, their excitement was cut short as the actress revealed that her visa application had been rejected, preventing her from representing herself on the global platform.
She detailed it in an emotional post, "I haven’t been uploading anything or been seen anywhere cause I was going through a phase. My business didn’t work. I tried a bunch of other different things only to face rejections."
Further, she also revealed to having received an opportunity to make her appearance at Cannes 2025, but could not make it to the prestigious film festival.
She added, “Got an opportunity to go to Cannes through Indie Wild. (Big big thank you to diipa khosla and kshitij kankaria). But as the fate would have it, my visa got rejected. I was working on a few crazy outfit ideas. My team and I were very disheartened. I'm sure a lot of you guys must be going through rejections yourself, and I would love to know your stories.
