New Delhi: Actor and philanthropist Sonu Sood proves time and again that there is hope in humanity.
Hailed as ‘Nation’s hero’ among the masses, the actor provided relief to hundreds during the most difficult period of the pandemic and has never once backed down ever since.
In natural continuance Sonu has planned something philanthropic for his birthday as well on July 30.
The 49-year-old actor undertook the mission of educating underprivileged youngsters through upgrading existing schools and building a new school at Kankuri near Shirdi in Maharashtra.
“The main plan is to provide education to the kids from tribal and Covid affected families who had to forgo education due to unforeseen circumstances," the actor said.
"Apart from providing education, another aim of the project is to create employment opportunities for the villagers and improve the literacy rate in the tribal areas,” Sonu said in a statement.
The project will be part of the Sood Charity Foundation, that has been working actively since 2020.
The actor has often dedicated his endorsements and funds to multiple projects that help reduce the plight of common man.
Sonu was last seen in the Akshay Kumar starrer "Samrat Prithviraj". (UNI)
