Mumbai: Basking on the trailer euphoria, Rajkumar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor starrer "Stree" has started off well at the box office. The horror comedy movie has earned a decent amount of 31.4 crores in first week-end. It is expected that the movie will accelerate at the weekend.
While the same cannot be said for the comedy movie, "Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se". The movie had a disappointing start and earned only a meagre 6.2 crore in first weekend. It is clear that the buzz around "Stree" has affected the "YPDPS" collection and poor direction made it worse for the movie which stars Dharmendra, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol.(WD)
