Border 2, led by Sunny Deol, has successfully crossed the Rs 300 crore milestone at the domestic box office, emerging as one of the biggest hits of the year.
Directed by Anurag Singh, the film was released on January 23 and serves as a sequel to the iconic 1997 war drama Border. Alongside Deol—who reprises his presence from the original—the film also stars Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty in key roles.
The film opened strongly with a nett collection of Rs 32.10 crore on its first day. It went on to earn Rs 129.89 crore nett over its opening weekend and amassed Rs 244.97 crore nett by the end of its first week.
The makers shared the latest box office figures on their official Instagram handle on Wednesday, posting a film poster to announce the achievement. According to the update, Border 2 has now collected a total of Rs 315.10 crore nett at the domestic box office.

The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, J P Dutta and Nidhi Dutta. It also features Mona Singh, Sonam Bajwa, Anya Singh and Medha Rana in pivotal roles.
While the original Border (1997) was based on the Battle of Longewala during the 1971 India-Pakistan war, Border 2 is also set against the backdrop of the same historic conflict.
