Superstar Amitabh to present national anthem in sign language

Kolhapur: Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan will present the national anthem in "Sanketik Bhasha" (sign language) with handicapped children of a local 'Chetana Handicapped Institution' along with other disabled and handicapped institutions across the country, which a video-cassette will be unveiled in New Delhi tomorrow a union Human Resources minister Prakash Javdekar.Naren Bagre, president of Chetana Handicapped Institution' said in a statement that our institution was trying to bring handicapped student in main stream of the community, preserving social consciousness.

It was a great thing, that we could start this mission with Amitabh Bachchan.Mr Bagare said that disabled and handicapped students from Adopt, Hellen Keler institution for the deaf blind, Dadar school of blind, Kirti and Simaran Kalara school in Delhi and Chetna's eight students participated with Mr Bachhan in presentation of national anthem in code language by a video-cassette, which prepared with the cooperation of union social justice ministry, 'We Care' institution and various institutions, who works for disabled and handicapped persons.

Onwards, this national anthem in code language will now present in every function for disabled children, he said.A unveil function of video-cassette will also held at Keshavrao Bhosale Natyagrah here on Sunday on August 13 in presence of state revenue minister Chandrakant Patil, who is also district guardian minister, Kolhapur Mayor Ms Hasina Faras and Kolhapur MP Dhananjay Mahadik.The local students, who participated along with Mr Bachchan as Sushand Kunde, Vany Karkare, Nikhil dafale, Anisha Sutar, Vishal More, Ms Amrapali Kamble, Vinamrao Khavkar and Ms Pratiksha Karale.(UNI)
