Pune:The CBI team has found no clue till now, which suggests foul play into the death of Sushant Singh Rajput, however, there is no clincher yet that the 34-year-old actor died of natural cause, a report said on Wednesday.
Three CBI officials have stated that their team has so far not found any evidence that suggests Sushant was murdered on June 14. Moreover, the team is now examining the suicide angle and is reportedly probing if an abettment to suicide case can be made, report told.
According to the CBI, nor the statements of the key suspects nor the forensic reports hint at homicide and while the focus has shifted to the suicide angle, the probe for murder has not been officially wrapped yet.
After taking charge of the case from the Mumbai Police, the CBI had reconstructed the crime scene at Sushant's Bandra home.
It has also been grilling the late actor's girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik while the latest round of questioning was held on August 31.
Meanwhile, the Narcotics Control Bureau claims that Rhea Chakraborty's brother Showik was in touch with several drug dealers from Mumbai.
Simultaneously, the Enforcement Directorate has been probing the money laundering angle, after Sushant's father pointed out financial irregularities in the bank account of the deceased.(UNI)
