Dhanush on his Instagram account also posted the trailer and wrote “The gray man trailer.”

The actor had earlier shared his first look from the film on social media and said, “Elated to announce that I will be joining the team of Netflix’s ‘The Gray Man’ starring Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans, directed by The Russo Brothers (‘Avengers’, ‘Captain America: Winter Soldier’).

"Looking forward to being a part of this wonderful action packed experience. My sincere thanks to my dearest fans from all over the world for all the love and support you have been showing me throughout these years. Love you all. Spread Love… !”

With a production budget of $200 million, it is the most expensive film ever made by Netflix and the money seems to have been put to good use.

Boasting action and aesthetics almost similar to “Captain America: The Winter Soldier”, the movie boasts none of the light heartedness of Marvel but a more intense and darker action, particularly with Chris Evan’s moustached villain saying with no smiles “You want an omelet? You gotta kill some people”.

We get to learn more about just what is “The Gray Man” as Ryan Gosling is basically being hunted by Chris Evans.

Ana de Armas is supporting Gosling, and as for Dhanush we can’t really say much about his role or the extent of it, but from the looks of it alone it would seem that he is going to play a rather memorable character even if his role is a small one.

The trailer vibes ferocity, intensity, action, thrills and promise of a great time while munching popcorn.

"The Gray Man is an incredibly mysterious character with a highly secretive past. In essence, he's a ghost," the Russo brothers told the Netflix official blog Tudum when it revealed the first images from the movie.

"A minimalist, (whose) job is to hide in plain sight. Kill when he needs to kill, and disappear." Now the predator has become prey.

Based on the novel of the same name by Mark Greaney, The Gray Man’s official synopsis reads, “The Gray Man is CIA operative Court Gentry (Ryan Gosling), aka, Sierra Six. Plucked from a federal penitentiary and recruited by his handler, Donald Fitzroy (Billy Bob Thornton), Gentry was once a highly-skilled, Agency-sanctioned merchant of death. But now the tables have turned and Six is the target, hunted across the globe by Lloyd Hansen (Chris Evans), a former cohort at the CIA, who will stop at nothing to take him out. Agent Dani Miranda (Ana de Armas) has his back. He’ll need it.”

"The Gray Man' also stars Regé-Jean Page, Jessica Henwick, Wagner Moura, Julia Butters, and Alfre Woodard.

The movie will hit Netflix on July 22. (UNI)
