Mumbai: As expected, Kangana Ranaut’s Simran and Farhan Akhtar’s Lucknow Central failed to create enthusiasm in cinemagoers.
Despite good acting of Kangana in Simran and Farhan in Lucknow central both the movies had weak storyline and directorial flaws. The weekend collection of both the movies are disappointing. However Simran is a bit ahead of Lucknow central but collections of both the movies are quite low.
Simran has earned 2.77 crore on the opening day. On Saturday the movie earned 3.76 crore followed by 4.12 crore on Sunday. The gross collection of the movie was 10.65 crore. While Lucknow central earned 2.04 crore on Friday.
The collections remained stagnant at 2.82 crore on Saturday. The collections on Sunday was 3.56 crore. The gross collection of the movie in weekend was 8.42 crore.
India Vs Australia match on Sunday had a minor effect on the collections of both the movies.
