The trailer of the much-awaited Abhishek Bachchan starrer "Big Bull" has been released. The film will also star Ileana D'Cruz, Nikita Dutta and Soham Shah in pivotal roles.
Big Bull stars Abhishek Bachchan in the lead role. The film is based on the real-life story of stockbroker Harshad Mehta’s life. It chronicles his financial transgressions over a period of 10 years, from 1980 to 1990.
However, This rags to riches story was also the plot of the recently released web series scam 1992 which became an instant hit among the OTT viewers. Now the audience has a chance to watch the same content in compact packaging which is 2 hours long.
On the contrary, The Big bull had to face a lot of hiccups and climbed many topsy turvy paths for the streaming. The makers in Feb announced that the movie was all set to release on 23rd October 2020 and the corona pandemic played a spoilsport.
Later it was decided to release the movie on the same date but on the OTT platform. The popularity of cash-rich IPL 2020 came in their way again and the release date went into the cold storage.
The web series scam 1992 made the road even worse for the big bull to run. Pratik Gandhi played the role of Harshad Mehta and his acting and dialogue made him an overnight star.
'The Big Bull' - An Unreal Story is produced by Ajay Devgn and Anand Pandit, directed by Kookie Gulati, and co-produced by Kumar Mangat Pathak and Vikrant Sharma. The film is set to release on 8th April, 2021 on Disney Hotstar, and the trailer is expected to give the makers a much-needed hype for the movie.
