Mumbai: Some of Bollywood's massive hits are expected to treat audiences with sequels this year.

Loved by audiences, the makers thought it will be the perfect year to take the storylines forward.

Some of these are much anticipated coming decades after their originals:

Gadar 2

Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel will reunite. The cast and crew have started preparation, and the actors are busy updating fans on their social media posts.

Ameesha was seen as a Muslim girl Sakeena and Sunny Deol played Tara Singh in gory story that released in 2001 in a retelling of one more Partition saga.

Heropanti 2

Tiger Shroff marked his Bollywood debut with this in 2014 alongside Kriti Sanon. The audiences loved both actors. In the sequel though, Tara Sutaria of SOTY2 fame, will play the female lead. The makers have released a motion poster of the film. The film is slated for release on April 29.

Bhool Bhulaiya 2

The Hindi remake of Rajinikanth's "Chandramukhi", starred Akshay Kumar and was a record-wrecker. Makers have cast Kartik Aaryan, Kiara Advani, Tabu, Rajpal Yadav, Paresh Rawal and Anil Kapoor in the sequel that will hit screens on March 25.

Badhaai Do

An Ayushmann Khurrana 2018 hit, this film was a huge success as it questioned set social norms. Encouraged to come back with its sequel, the makers will go with Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar this time. It will release on February 4.
