Mumbai: Over the last two decades, this Bollywood 'bad man' has scared the daylights out of the leading men and ladies. Now Bollywood actor Gulshan Grover will be seen in a negative role after a long time in the forthcoming Rajkumar Rao-Shruti Hassan starrer 'Behen Hogi Teri', which hits cinema screens by the end of this month. Besides playing a larger than life negative character in the film after a long time, Gulshan will be seen in an item song in the film featuring Sunny Leone.
Talking to UNI in an interview, Gulshan Grover, who has established a niche for himself in the film industry over the years as a 'menacing bad man', says that it was the prospect of doing a larger than life villian in a film after a long time that led him to take up the role. “In 'Behen Hogi Teri', which also stars Rajkummar Rao and Shruti Hassan, I am playing a negative role which is that of a larger than life villian."
"Over the last few years, many of my fans and well wishers have lamented the fact that they have not come across a larger than life villian in a Bollywood film for a long time," Grover said. "In fact, there is a marked absence of a strong villain in a majority of the films in recent years. So when this opportunity came to me I grabbed it," Grover added. Elaborating on his character, Grover said his character in the film makes life extremely difficult for the hero of the film.
The actor is also excited about an item song in the film featuring him and the Bollywood diva Sunny Leone. "The item number, featuring Sunny Leone and me along the rest of the cast of the film, is one of the major highlights of the film. I am really excited about it," he said. Produced by Tony D’souza, 'Behen Hogi teri' is a romantic comedy film which is directed by Ajay Pannalal. It will hit the screens on May 26. (UNI)
